Areas you cannot afford are dimmed, never hidden. Suburbs have no official rent figure, so they are never dimmed.

Layers

Monthly rent for a typical home, worked out from the 2025 reference rent per m². Excludes charges and agency fees. The reference rent is a legal ceiling, not a market average — advertised rents often sit right at it. Paris proper only: the cap does not cover the inner suburbs.

Neighbourhood feel

No colour means “good” or “bad”, and none of them describes who lives there. They describe what you would see and hear on the street. Grey means we have not written that area up yet.

Open source. Rent figures come from the City of Paris rent-cap open data, transit from Île-de-France Mobilités. Every number on this site shows its source and year.
